AOC Community Media will premiere footage of Festival International 2017 main-stage performances during Fest Week July 1-8 on AOC 1 (Cox Communications channel 15 or LUS Fiber channel 3). AOC will air episodes each day during prime-time hours, culminating in a two-day Festival recap on Friday, July 7, and Saturday, July 8.
During the five-day festival in April 2017, AOC captured nearly 20 hours of live performances in high definition.
“Fest Week is the culmination of months of work by our more than 30 volunteers who trained, practiced and then volunteered their own time to help AOC record these amazing performances,” said Ed Bowie, executive director of AOC. “We are proud to premiere this year’s Festival footage, so our viewers can either relive their Festival experience or feel like they were at the main stage if they missed any performances.”
“Thanks to AOC, people who are unable to attend Festival International in person can still enjoy it through Fest Week," said Festival International Executive Director Scott Feehan. "We value the strong relationships we have with local nonprofit media outlets such as AOC and the services they provide to the public.”

AOC will continue to re-air footage of the festival performances throughout the year on Cox Communications channels 15 and 16 and LUS Fiber channels 3 and 4. To view AOC’s full schedule, visit www.aocinc.org. To request airings of specific past Festival International performances, email email@example.com.
From the past 30 years of Festival International, AOC has recorded main-stage performances and then aired them on its two channels which are cablecast in the Acadiana area on Cox and LUS. A volunteer crew used high-definition cameras to capture video from the main stage. Video was then recorded digitally and encoded for live cablecast.
