#FOREVERFESTIVAL is AOC Community Media’s people-powered partnership dedicated to documenting and preserving the Acadiana region's most momentous cultural experiences on video. Through the volunteer support of our community film crew and the financial investment of our partner-sponsors, AOC serves as Lafayette’s premiere Production squad preserving the cultural vitality of your favorite local festivals!

VOLUNTEER FAQs

 

  • Anyone at age 16 or older can volunteer as a member of our #FF crew. Our crew is 100% powered by generous volunteers from throughout Louisiana who assist AOC Community
    Media in its year-round programming efforts.

  • Of course! We encourage students, nonprofit organizations, and community groups to volunteer on our crew! It’s a great opportunity to support your org’s team building and leadership development efforts. To volunteer as a group, please email us directly with your interest at info@aocinc.org.

  • Any youth under 16 years of age may volunteer with the written consent of a parent/guardian -or- may serve alongside a parent/guardian in a dual-volunteer position (i.e. handheld camera operator & cable puller duo).

  • As a volunteer on AOC’s #FF Film Crew, you will provide team support in one of the following capacities: Crowd Camera Operator, Stage Camera Operator, Handheld Camera Operator, Director, Cable Puller, Production Assistant, Photographer, Marketing Assistant

  • Volunteers on the #FF Film Crew must wear all black (black t-shirts, black pants, and black or dark neutral closed-toed shoes).

  • Our #FF Film Crew captures Festival programming at local events year-round. Sign up for AOC’s email list to stay informed with upcoming opportunities!

  • You must sign up to volunteer as a crew member on our team at: aocinc.org/volunteer

  • You do NOT need prior media production training or experience to serve on AOC’s #FF Film Crew. We provide all the tools and training you’ll need to operate our gear and help us oversee the production for Acadiana’s liveliest festivals!
