All meetings will be virtual and held via Zoom at 10:00 A.M., on each of the designated days. A representative with the organization who is interested in participating in SOLA Giving Day is strongly encouraged to attend ONE of the meetings. It is NOT required for the representative to participate in both meetings. To sign up for an online Zoom training, please visit www.cfacadiana.org/SOLA. If you are unable to attend a live training, recordings of the virtual trainings will be made available on the SOLA Giving Day website the week of February 1.
SOLA Giving Day is an event of Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA) offered to 501(c)3 nonprofits, churches, and schools in Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Mary, St. Martin, Vermilion, and other south Louisiana parishes. It is a spring fundraising campaign that spans eight weeks and culminates with 24 hours of giving on Thursday, May 6.
During this period, the general public can make tax-deductible donations to organizations of their choice online by visiting www.SOLAGivingDay.org.
The purpose of the event is to assist organizations in raising funds for a specific project or program. With fundraising becoming ever more challenging during the continued COVID-19 pandemic, SOLA Giving Day provides an easy and inexpensive way for organizations to promote funding needs and continue fundraising efforts safely online.
CFA could not host SOLA Giving Day without event partners. The 2021 event is presented by Love Our Schools through a generous commitment from the Pugh Family Foundation and the William C. Schumacher Family Foundation. Additional partners include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, John & Heather McCrory Charity Fund, Stuller Family Foundation, MACK Energy, Pinhook Foundation, COX, and Lafayette Economic Development Authority. For a complete list of partners, including media partners, please visit www.cfacadiana.org/SOLA.
The goal of SOLA Giving Day is to inspire the community to come together to contribute as many charitable dollars as possible to the participating organizations.
For more information about the event or how to participate, contact Lauren Coffin at solagivingday@cfacadiana.org.
