The “Azalea Trail Bike and Classic Car Cruise”

The “Azalea Trail Bike and Classic Car Cruise” will meander through Lafayette’s historic

neighborhoods on the afternoon of Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm with a social

immediately following until 4pm.

Presenting sponsors, TRAIL (Transportation, Recreation Alternatives in Louisiana) and

Scenic Lafayette are partnering to enjoy the beautiful bloom season along Lafayette’s

1930’s Historic Azalea Trail.

The event’s main purpose is to raise awareness about the cultural and economic value

of Lafayette’s natural and built beauty. Funds raised will support more trail and city-wide

azalea plantings and will strengthen recreational opportunities within the city.

Registration includes route support, complimentary Hilliard Museum event day

admission and free post-cruise food and drinks. Best vintage costumes (for ideas go to

You Tube, Azalea Trail Day 2017) will receive lodging/breakfast at Mouton Plantation,

Mello Joy coffee and an out of print “Images de Lafayette” book. Best azalea displays

will receive a gift certificate to All Seasons nursery.

Car cruise is sheriff escorted. Bike helmets required. Child’s bike registration is free.

Come rain or shine!
