2019 LRPD TEENER BASKETBALL STARTS SOON

LAFAYETTE, LA – January 30, 2019

The Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department’s Teener basketball season will begin in March

2019. The organizational meeting for this program will be held at Girard Park, located at 500

Girard Park Drive in Lafayette, on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 7:00 p.m.

Teener basketball is open to males and females in high school that are not participating in high

school basketball. Participants may either attend a high school in Lafayette Parish or be a

Lafayette Parish resident attending high school out of the parish. Any player turning 19 prior to

May 31, 2019, will be considered ineligible.

Anyone interested in registering a team should make plans to attend this meeting. The

registration fee is $225 per team for the season. For more information, please call (337) 291-
