Lafayette Animal Shelter Celebrates 1,000 Animals Adopted in 2018

WHAT: Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux to announce record-breaking 1,000 adoptions for Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center (LASCC) for 2018, as well as progress on the No Kill 2020 initiative.

 WHEN: Wednesday, December 19, 2018 . 1:15 p.m.

 WHERE: Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center 613 W. Pont Des Mouton Rd, Lafayette

 WHO: LCG Officials and staff, members of the public and the media are invited to attend.

Additional Details: Since January of this year, 1,000 animals have been adopted from LASCC, up from 517 animal in 2015 before Mayor-President Robideaux took office and launched his No Kill 2020 initiative. The 1000th animal adopted, a black lab mix named Duson, will be celebrated with gifts and prizes.
