Acadiana Symphony Orchestra Announces: Cinema & the Symphony: Beasts of the Southern Wild

LAFAYETTE, La. –  Acadiana Symphony Orchestra (ASO) shares the stage again Thursday, November 14, 2019, 7 PM at the Heymann Performing Arts Center with local favorite and GRAMMY Award-winning, Lost Bayou Ramblers. The upcoming concert, Cinema and the Symphony: Beasts of the Southern Wild, will feature a screening of “Beasts of the Southern Wild” while the Acadiana Symphony, alongside LBR, performs the soundtrack LIVE.

Beasts of the Southern Wild has been nominated for four Academy Awards at the 85th Academy Awards. One nomination making Louisiana local, Quvenzhané Wallis, the youngest Best Actress nominee in history. Filmed in Louisiana, Beasts of the Southern Wild features familiar Acadiana scenery. With stunning visuals and beloved local sounds, viewers will be awed by the cinematic masterpiece.
